Remote Access to the JID

Accessing your JID subscription online

Dear ESDR member,

We know that during these uncertain times, access to peer-reviewed and trusted research is important. As an ESDR member, you have access to the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) via JIDonline.org. You can either log in at ESDR.org or at JIDonline.org. Members (who have not already done so) must activate their online subscription to JID to access the content online.

To access your JID subscription online as an ESDR member, you'll need to complete a one-time, two-step process:

  1. Register a username at www.jidonline.org

  2. Claim access with two pieces of information (your ESDR Membership ID + Last Name)

Detailed instructions on how to claim and activate your online subscription to JID are available to assist you.

Elsevier is actively working to support expanded remote access to subscribed content given campus and workplace closures. To set up remote access with your institutional ID, please visit our Remote Access on ScienceDirect page. There you will find options for setting up remote access on ScienceDirect. If you believe you should be able to access ScienceDirect via one of the routes listed below but cannot, please get in touch with us here and we will make every effort to assist you.

  1. Set up remote access using your institutional email address – if your institution has this enabled, then you will be prompted to create a personal account which you can use to access ScienceDirect from anywhere.

  2. Log in with your institutional credentials – if your institution has this enabled, you will be able to login via your institution and then access ScienceDirect from anywhere. You can search a list of institutions and regions easily on this page.

  3. You also can attempt to connect via your institution, eg, by VPN or proxy server access if your institution provides such services.

Note that ScienceDirect has made almost 20,000 articles and book chapters including research on coronavirus and COVID-19 freely available to the public. Visit Elsevier's Novel Coronavirus Information Center.
