Introduction

Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy offers a non-invasive optical biopsy in real-time. It provides a view into the layers of the skin, from the stratum corneum to the superficial reticular dermis.

Either living tissue (in vivo) or a freshly excised tissue specimen (ex vivo) can be quickly examined. The workshop contains a general presentation of imaging with CLSM and a hands-on training on a VivaScope 1500.
